The California Conservatory of Dance (CCD) offers a variety of dance education and performance opportunities for both pre-professional and recreational dancers. Artistic Director's Melissa Bowman and Jennifer Backhaus have created a class schedule that combines the best of classical ballet and modern dance, augmented with Pilates®, conditioning, lyrical dance, hip-hop, and tap. Ballet instruction is based on the ABT® Training Curriculum. Conveniently located in Mission Viejo, California, The CCD is housed in a 21,500 sq.ft. facility complete with five studios and an on-site gym. For the professional dancer, The CCD offers two companies: American Legacy Dance Theatre and Backhausdance.
