The California Conservatory of Dance (CCD), a progressive ballet and modern dance school in south Orange County, offers a range of classes and performance opportunities for both pre-professional and recreational ballet / modern dancers. Director Melissa Bowman, who is also the Artistic Director of American Ballet Theatre’s summer intensives, has established a program that fuses classical ballet education with a full spectrum of commercial dance forms. All ballet teachers are fully certified in the ABT® National Training Curriculum, which gives The CCD a unique blend of proven classical and modern technique, augmented with Pilates®, conditioning, lyrical, hip-hop and tap. Conveniently located in Mission Viejo, California, the CCD is housed in a 21,500 sq. ft. facility complete with five studios and an on-site gym.
